Cocoa #5: Lavender White Hot Cocoa

12-ways-to-hot-cocoa

Aloha, my fellow internet surfers! How goes it? I have huge bumps on the back of my ankles from my new shoes… That stinks. Other than that, I got to end my day with a sweet and floral cocoa!

Today’s recipe will be for Lavender White Hot Cocoa. It’s soothing aroma is relaxing for nighttime, and you can also satisfy that sweet tooth before bed! It is really simple to make, and you only need 3 ingredients!

  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup White Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 tsp Lavender Buds
  • *Optional: Whipped Cream and extra Lavender Buds for topping

day-5-1

Take your double burner and combine the milk and white chips. Heat on medium-low heat, stirring regularly until the chips are melted.

day-5-2

Crush the lavender with a mortar and pestle to release all that lovely flavor and fragrance! When your white chocolate and milk mixture is fully combined and warmed up, add the crushed lavender.

day-5-3

Some of you might prefer to strain your cocoa, so you don’t have to swallow the buds, but I’m not sure if all of the flavor will stay. Feel free to try it and let me know!

Feel free to top with any topping you prefer! I used whipped cream and an extra sprinkle of lavender.

      1. The red velvet cocoa is too awesome. You totally rock. I might have tried your mug cake recipe. So glad we’re able to talk so I can thank you for helping me out. I am a celiac so this saved my dessert life.
